Dave has 40 years of experience providing consulting and advisory services in business strategy, forecasting, revenue and donor analysis, cost structure management and operational efficiency, finance and accounting workforce planning and management, treasury and cash management, and interim finance, treasury, and accounting officer services. He has held chief financial officer, chief accounting officer, and treasury officer positions at publicly traded companies, and has extensive experience in SEC reporting, ratings agency issues, and operations and people management domestically and internationally. Dave has worked with numerous churches as a consultant and advisor, and served as an executive pastor in the Atlanta area.
As Managing Partner, Fran leads the firm and guides the implementation of strategic plans and objectives. He is also involved in client acquisition meetings, significant board meetings, and representing the firm nationally. Fran has more than 35 years of experience providing audit and management consulting services to a variety of nonprofit entities, including colleges and universities. Fran previously led the New England Higher Education and Not-for-Profit Practice at Grant Thornton and was partner-in-charge of the not-for-profit practice at CCR LLP. His expertise includes strategic planning, budgeting, financial statement preparation, exempt-organization tax filing, real property sales and leases, board training, and enterprise risk management (ERM) training.
Prior to joining American Bible Society, Jennifer served Wycliffe Bible Translators USA for more than 22 years in various leadership roles, most recently as chief operating officer. In this position, she oversaw Wycliffe USA’s global operations, including field partnerships, church engagement, finances, human resources, marketing and communications, development, and technology.
In addition to her work experience, Jennifer has also served on the boards of numerous organizations working to further develop Bible access and engagement, including Missio Nexus, Mission Aviation Fellowship USA, and Partners International.
For more than 40 years, John Wylie has focused on advising all types of nonprofit organizations, helping them achieve their missions more effectively.
John combines technical skill, a deep understanding of nonprofit organizations, and a unique sensitivity to their priorities and legal needs with years of practical experience as he represents the full range of faith-based, sports, healthcare, charitable, and educational institutions.
His experience includes advising boards and senior management teams on entity structuring, governance, personnel policies, First Amendment issues, and religious accommodations. John advises clients in joint ventures and affiliations, mergers and acquisitions, and a wide array of other transactional and operational matters. He regularly provides counsel on topics as varied as commercial activities, federal and state regulatory requirements, international structure and activities, intellectual property issues, and religious worker visas. John also has extensive experience with exempt organization tax issues.
Kristen is President of East-West Ministries overseeing Field Ministries, Operations, and Development.
She formerly served as East-West’s Executive Vice President of Development, providing oversight and strategic direction for development, marketing, and communications initiatives. Kristen also served in a number of other development roles prior to leading the development function, as her proven leadership and skills afforded ongoing growth opportunity. For three years, Kristen provided leadership in field ministries by serving in an interim Executive Vice President of Field Ministries role as well as a permanent leadership role that provided oversight across all 10 regions where East-West operates.
Prior to joining East-West, Kristen served alongside the International Mission Board on the mission field across South America, primarily focusing on evangelism and church planting strategies. She continues to fulfill her calling and passion for missions to the unreached through her role at East-West.
As Chief Executive Officer of East-West, Kurt provides leadership and oversight to all worldwide ministry endeavors in the more than 45 countries in which East-West currently operates.
Kurt was promoted to CEO of East-West in June 2010, after having served at the organization for 13 years. Prior to joining East-West, he served as Vice President with Global Missions Fellowship, which is now e3 Partners.
Rich is the CEO and co-founder of Innovest Portfolio Solutions, providing investment consulting services to faith-based organizations. He has more than 36 years of experience in investment consulting and currently provides consulting services to institutions and families. Innovest has over 300 clients with assets of more than $45 billion and 60 employees.
Rich has been a columnist for the Denver Business Journal, and his thoughts have been published in Financial Advisor Magazine, Journal of Compensation and Benefits, Pensions & Investments, Accounting Today, Chief Executive, Family Office Magazine, and PLANSPONSOR, along with Compass Catholic, Christian Leadership Alliance, Philanthropy Daily, Catholic News Agency, and Central Florida Christian Chamber of Commerce, among others.
Sarah is a Principal of Innovest Portfolio Solutions and is responsible for business development in the nonprofit market, focusing on both faith-based and secular nonprofits. She is certified as a BoardSource nonprofit consultant.
Sarah has been published in the National Catholic Register as well as Christian Leadership Alliance publications. She has also been featured on various podcasts discussing the correlation between donor development and faith-based investing. Sarah has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit development, marketing, event planning, and business development.
Steve Oakley is an attorney with more than 27 years of experience in domestic and global legal, risk management, compliance, and governance issues.
Steve spent the first half of his career as a litigator in a top 100 Law Firm in Chicago. Upon graduating from Moody Theological Seminary, he was asked to serve as General Counsel of Moody Bible Institute. Thereafter, he joined Compassion International as General Counsel and created a global legal function consisting of six attorneys and 85 staff on three continents. Having worked in over 30 countries, Steve has led successful litigation efforts in the Bangladesh Supreme Court and the Indian High Court, as well as testifying before the United States House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee. In private practice since 2018, Steve counsels domestic charities and NGOs around the world.
A certified public accountant and licensed attorney, Ted advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of tax matters, including representation before state and federal tax authorities and assistance with firm audit or advisory engagements to formulate advice and counsel on important operating and tax issues. In addition to tax advisory services, Ted leads the firm’s tax preparation practice, including IRS Forms 990 and 990-T and related state forms. He also serves as an Advisor-at-Large for Church Law & Tax and as a member of the Missio Nexus Mission Finance and Administration Planning Committee.

With more than 25 years of public accounting experience, Tim has spent much of his career serving nonprofit entities. He specializes in serving organizations with international operations, higher education institutions, and other exempt entities. Tim has extensive for-profit experience working with construction, real estate, manufacturing, and technology clients and has provided services to many clients with respect to their employee benefit plans. Prior to joining CapinCrouse, he worked with Grant Thornton, including a two-year placement in Cape Town, South Africa, and with BKD in Colorado Springs.
