Ashley has 14 years of experience specializing in tax-exempt compliance services, including Form 990 and 990-T and related state forms. She also assists exempt organizations with general tax matters, including unrelated business income, foreign activities reporting, alternative investments, ministers' taxation, and representation before state and federal tax authorities. Her responsibilities include serving clients across the country and mentoring tax staff.

A licensed attorney, Chris advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of issues, including tax and employee benefit related matters, representation before state and federal tax authorities, and assistance with firm audit or advisory engagements to formulate advice and counsel on important operating and tax issues. Chris also assists clients with general tax issues, unrelated business income, charitable solicitation, and missionary employment structures. Prior to joining CapinCrouse in 2019, Chris served as the Executive Director of the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, one of the nation's largest Christian legal aid organizations.

Christopher joined CapinCrouse in 2006 and has more than 18 years of experience providing attest and other services to various nonprofit entities, including colleges and universities, churches, foundations, international mission organizations, and relief and development organizations. He is responsible for the oversight of audit engagements and also, as appropriate, for the recommendation of internal control structures and best practices.

Dan has more than 40 years of public accounting experience leading audit engagements of nonprofit organizations and for-profit entities. Dan leads the firm's higher education practice segment, which includes more than 120 client relationships, and commits a significant portion of his professional time to board training, strategic planning initiatives, and accreditation support. He served on the Board of Trustees of Davis College for 25 years. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Dan managed audits of financial institutions, construction contractors, and manufacturers.

As a certified public accountant, Daren has over 19 years of experience specializing in tax-exempt compliance services, including Form 990 and 990-T and related state forms. She also advises exempt organizations on a wide range of issues, including unrelated business income, foreign activities and reporting, alternative investment tax review and analysis, tax-exempt bond reporting and compliance, and representation before state and federal tax authorities.

David Hoag, Ph.D., is the president of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU). Hoag, a CCCU board member, was most recently the president of Warner University, a CCCU institution in Florida, from 2016 to 2024.
Dr. Hoag has demonstrated his lifelong dedication to Christian higher education through decades of leadership in Christ-centered universities, where he served in advancement and executive capacities. His record of success in accreditation, gift-giving, and grant management effectively resourced the vision and mission of the schools he served as well as Christian higher education more broadly.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hoag served at four different CCCU institutions: Warner University, Trinity International University, Greenville University, and Asbury University. He also previously served on the executive committee of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF) and the Council of Presidents for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Joy Mosley serves as Vice President for Government & Strategic Relations at the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU). She graduated from and subsequently worked at Covenant College for over 10 years, then received her Master of Business Administration from Belhaven University, and subsequently Doctor of Law from Emory University. On the Hill, she worked for Congressman Gary Palmer and the Center for Public Justice before coming to the CCCU.

Rachel joined CapinCrouse in 2004 and provides assurance services to key clients. This includes audit and review work in various nonprofit sectors, with a focus on the firm's higher education practice. Her higher education expertise includes work on the higher education Data Warehouse, assisting clients with higher education financial modeling, and participating in and speaking at seminars and conferences around the country.

A certified public accountant and licensed attorney, Ted advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of tax matters, including representation before state and federal tax authorities and assistance with firm audit or advisory engagements to formulate advice and counsel on important operating and tax issues. In addition to tax advisory services, Ted leads the firm’s tax preparation practice, including IRS Forms 990 and 990-T and related state forms. He also serves as an Advisor-at-Large for Church Law & Tax and is a member of the Missio Nexus Mission Finance and Administration Planning Committee.
