A licensed attorney, Chris advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of issues, including tax and employee benefit related matters, representation before state and federal tax authorities, and assistance with firm audit or advisory engagements to formulate advice and counsel on important operating and tax issues. Chris also assists clients with general tax issues, unrelated business income, charitable solicitation, and missionary employment structures.
Prior to joining CapinCrouse in 2019, Chris served as the Executive Director of the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, one of the nation's largest Christian legal aid organizations.

Dan has more than 35 years of public accounting experience leading audit engagements of nonprofit organizations and for-profit industries. Committed to making a difference as a ministry partner, Dan has devoted a significant portion of his career to providing advisory services to churches, colleges, and international missions and disaster relief organizations. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Dan managed audits of financial institutions, construction contractors, and manufacturers.
Dan leads the firm’s higher education practice segment, which includes more than 100 client relationships. He directly serves 15 higher education clients nationally and commits a significant portion of his professional time to board training, strategic planning initiatives, and accreditation support.
David joined Dallas Theological Seminary in March 2022 and serves as the vice president for Business and Finance/CFO. He is responsible for all financial matters regarding budgets, audit, tax, investments, debt management, and general accounting services.
David’s background includes over 35 years with for-profit companies, including Whirlpool Corporation, Eaton Corporation, and Engage Technologies, as well as nonprofit higher education organizations, including Crown College, Northwest Nazarene University, and Belhaven University.
A certified public accountant and licensed attorney, Ted advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of tax matters, including representation before state and federal tax authorities and assistance with firm audit or advisory engagements to formulate advice and counsel on important operating and tax issues. In addition to tax advisory services, Ted leads the firm’s tax preparation practice, including IRS Forms 990 and 990-T and related state forms. He also serves as an Advisor-at-Large for Church Law & Tax and as a member of the Missio Nexus Mission Finance and Administration Planning Committee.

Winters has been a speaker at the ABACC Conference, Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA) Outcomes Conference, Denominational Investors & Loan Administrators (DILA) Conference, and Lifestyle Giving training events. He has also written for the Christian Leadership Alliance, CapinCrouse, and Cornerstone Management blogs. Mr. Richwine began his career in the financial services industry in 2005.
