Brian Shepler is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), president, and senior partner of Blue Trust. As president and CEO, Brian preserves Blue Trust’s compelling mission, reinforces the firm’s long-term vision, and helps establish the company’s strategic direction. He leads Blue Trust’s executive leadership team and serves as a member of the board of directors. Leveraging his background in the investment banking and private equity fields, Brian also serves Blue Trust clients who own family businesses, providing advice regarding business succession, strategic growth, and corporate capital planning.
Before becoming CEO, Brian served in various leadership roles at Blue Trust, including Director of Mergers & Acquisitions, Chief Financial Officer, EVP Client Services, and most recently, Chief Operating Officer. He began his career with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York and came to Blue Trust in 2000 from SunTrust Banks, Inc., where he served in the investment banking and equity capital markets divisions. Brian currently serves on the board of managers of the Ron Blue Institute and as a member of the board of directors of Groundwire and Lighthouse Family Retreat.

Bryan Taylor is a Principal at Cornerstone Management and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the firm. He has over 25 years of experience in portfolio management and design. Bryan oversees all operations and is Chairman of the Cornerstone Investment Committee. He is a frequent writer and speaker on the global economy and U.S. markets. Bryan has been a conference speaker at Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA), Association of Business Administrators of Christian Colleges (ABACC), Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU), Missio Nexus, and other Christian nonprofit seminars across the country. Bryan currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA) and Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company (Fort Wayne, IN).

A licensed attorney, Chris advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of issues, including tax and employee benefit related matters, representation before state and federal tax authorities, and assistance with firm audit or advisory engagements to formulate advice and counsel on important operating and tax issues. Chris also assists clients with general tax issues, unrelated business income, charitable solicitation, and missionary employment structures. Prior to joining CapinCrouse in 2019, Chris served as the Executive Director of the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, one of the nation's largest Christian legal aid organizations.

Courtney joined CapinCrouse in 2021 and has over 15 years of public accounting and nonprofit experience. Prior to joining the firm, she most recently served as the Vice President of Finance for a social services nonprofit in Fort Worth, Texas. Courtney is a member of the firm’s National Consulting Team and works closely with our clients to help create useful financial reports, provide audit preparation support, and assist in budgeting and planning for future events.

As a certified public accountant, Daren has over 19 years of experience specializing in tax-exempt compliance services, including Form 990 and 990-T and related state forms. She also advises exempt organizations on a wide range of issues, including including unrelated business income, foreign activities and reporting, alternative investment tax review and analysis, tax-exempt bond reporting and compliance, and representation before state and federal tax authorities.

Dave has 42 years of consulting and advisory experience and provides a range of services, including business strategy, forecasting, revenue and donor analysis, and cost structure management and operational efficiency. He has held chief financial officer, chief accounting officer, and treasury officer positions at publicly traded companies, and has extensive experience in SEC reporting, ratings agency issues, and operations and people management domestically and internationally. Dave has worked with numerous churches as a consultant and advisor, and served as an executive pastor in the Atlanta area.

Jason helps organizations accelerate mission by streamlining objectives, strategies, and storytelling. He leads Strategic Partnerships at Gloo AI, a technology company connecting the Church. Jason has also served in executive leadership positions at Living on the Edge, American Bible Society, New Denver Church, ExploreGod, and North Point Ministries.

Junice joined CapinCrouse in 2008 and is a partner in the Dallas office. With over a decade of experience in finance and accounting, she is a seasoned professional specializing in serving the distinct financial needs of nonprofit organizations. Junice’s expertise includes providing attest and other services to many types of nonprofits, including higher education institutions, foundations, media groups, churches, and other outreach organizations. Junice continues to be a trusted advisor, empowering nonprofits across diverse sectors to achieve their missions effectively. She is also an active member of the firm’s Quality Control team, which supports internal best practices and technical compliance.

Ken has more than 15 years of public accounting and large nonprofit experience, providing both advisory and assurance services to various nonprofit entities, churches, and mission organizations. Prior to joining the firm, he managed the audits of public Fortune 100 and private multi-billion dollar companies for a Big 4 accounting firm, provided advisory and strategic planning for churches, nonprofits, and small to medium-sized businesses, and served as the controller and corporate officer for a large faith-based multi-national mission agency.

Mindy is the founder and president of Soul Care, a spiritual formation ministry that exists to increase soul health in the body of Christ globally. She has served in executive leadership in both ministry and marketplace environments, including Gloo.us and the Willow Creek Association (now GLN). She has trained, consulted, and taught at organizations including Compassion International, C12, Wheaton College, Accord Network, Stadia Church Planting, Cherith Analytics, Calvary Chapel, Mountain Christian Church, Plum Creek Church, and many others.
Mindy and her growing team serve individuals and organizations around the world and support their online community, the Soul Care Collective.

Nathan is a partner in the Colorado Springs and Denver offices and serves as the firm’s Executive Vice President for the West region. For over 20 years, Nathan has provided assurance and forensic consulting services to numerous types of nonprofit organizations, and he is a certified fraud examiner. Nathan serves as Chair of the Board for Christian Leadership Alliance and a private K-12 Christian school. He also has 10 years of nonprofit industry experience serving on staff part-time as Associate Pastor at his local church, has earned a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in church and ministry leadership, and is currently a doctoral student at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Rachel joined CapinCrouse in April 2022 and is a supervisor on the firm's National Consulting Team. She has over 10 years of experience providing accounting and project management services and expertise to various churches and nonprofit organizations. Rachel has worked closely with clients to provide accounting, payroll, and software automation and advisory services and is experienced at accounting tech stack research and implementation. She continues to assist clients in achieving an optimized accounting setup and getting their day-to-day accounting questions answered, as well as budgeting for current and future events.

Bob joined Crossmark in May 2021 as Chief Investment Officer and assumed the additional role of Chief Executive Officer in January 2024. Bob provides strategy for the firm, oversees the management team, guides the investment teams at Crossmark, and serves as portfolio manager for multiple Crossmark large-cap strategies. He utilizes his more than 40 years of industry experience and expertise to provide weekly and quarterly investment commentaries, as well as annual market predictions. Bob is a regular guest and contributor to multiple media outlets such as Bloomberg TV, Fox Business News, CNBC, and Faith & Finance Live Radio. Prior to arriving at Crossmark, he held the roles of Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Equity Strategist at Nuveen (2012-2021) and Blackrock (2006-2012), President and Chief Investment Officer at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (1999-2006), and Chief Investment Officer at Oppenheimer Funds, Inc. (1987-1999). He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a CFA® Charterholder. He currently holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
Bob serves or has served on a number of boards, including the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, Cairn University, Christianity Today, Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Kingdom Advisors, The Lausanne Movement, Movement.org, National Christian Foundation, New Cannan Society, Princeton Healthcare System, and Word of Life Fellowship.

Stan’s professional experience includes over 35 years in ministry operations, public accounting, government accounting, and international missions. He has a unique ability to balance strategic thinking with a deep knowledge of and hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of many types of organizations. Stan provides strategic leadership of the firm’s professional advisory and consulting services, including research on emerging issues in the faith-based nonprofit sector and the development and implementation of products and services in response to those needs.

A certified public accountant and licensed attorney, Ted advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of tax matters, including representation before state and federal tax authorities and assistance with firm audit or advisory engagements to formulate advice and counsel on important operating and tax issues. In addition to tax advisory services, Ted leads the firm’s tax preparation practice, including IRS Forms 990 and 990-T and related state forms. He also serves as an Advisor-at-Large for Church Law & Tax and is a member of the Missio Nexus Mission Finance and Administration Planning Committee.

With more than 25 years of public accounting experience, Tim has spent much of his career serving nonprofit entities. He specializes in serving organizations with international operations, higher education institutions, and other exempt entities. Tim has extensive for-profit experience working with construction, real estate, manufacturing, and technology clients and has provided services to many clients with respect to their employee benefit plans. Prior to joining CapinCrouse, he worked with Grant Thornton, including a two-year placement in Cape Town, South Africa, and with BKD in Colorado Springs.
